The National Gypsum Wallboard Plant at Apollo Beach, Florida, is a 424,000 square feet wallboard manufacturing facility on a 130-acre site. The project was extensive and included support for the construction of five new turn lanes on US 41, the re-construction of Pembroke Road and Wyandotte Road, one new rail crossing, and the re-construction of one rail crossing, half mile of off-site utility extensions, one half mile of roadway drainage improvements, 6-acre container storage lot with rail spur (4 lines), 190,000 sf warehouse, high volume gypsum unloading, and storage facility with truck/wheel wash facility. Hamilton Engineering & Surveying provided survey, site engineering, site permitting, wetland delineation, permitting, and construction administration services.
